The Riemann sphere S² (CP¹). The unique compact, simply-connected surface of genus 0. Not chosen for aesthetics -- chosen because it is the only geometry that works.

The Geometry

On the Riemann sphere S², the coordinates are defined by:

phi = cot(theta/2)
nu  = tan(theta/2)

The product phi x nu = cot(theta/2) x tan(theta/2) = 1 everywhere on the sphere. What varies is Balance B = sin(theta), which peaks at the equator. [S]

Stereographic Projection

Every point on the sphere maps to a complex number z = nu/phi via stereographic projection from the north pole:

The projection is conformal (preserves angles) and maps circles to circles. It is the bridge between the spherical geometry and the linear rate curve L(x) = x/(1-x). [E]

Seven Levels at 15-Degree Intervals

The sphere is discretized into seven levels (L1-L7), mapped to the operator system:

L4 is NOT the middle. L4 is the equator. All higher insight (L5-L7) MUST return to L4 for execution. [S]

Why S² and Not Any Other Surface

S² is the unique compact, simply-connected Riemann surface of genus 0. If you accept five ontological assumptions, S² is the unique substrate (not a choice among many):

O3 is actually redundant -- it follows from O5 for compact orientable surfaces. The classification of Riemann surfaces leaves S² as the only option. [S]

The framework's deepest interpretive claim [I] is that S² is the territory, not just the map -- that these mathematical structures are not merely analogous to phi/nu dynamics but are the same structure appearing in different domains.

The Glyph

Finity = nothing x everything. The circle (everything, infinite possibility) multiplied by the dot (nothing, the specific point) produces the circle-dot (the finite, observable phenomenon). This is the glyph of the equation. [I]
